Mobile home insurance is required which has been fairly inexspensive -about $250.00 per year is what I was paying or $30.00 per month. It is similar to homeowner’s insurance, but it’s written specifically to meet the needs of owners of mobile homes.
Coverage for these kinds of claims and lawsuits is called liability coverage. Claims might include medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and even property damage. Coverage would typically include financial protection for the house, personal items, injuries incurred on other people for whom you are liable and additional living expenses. It also insures you while you are one the move. Coverages and benefits can vary dramatically from policy to policy and from company to company.
Homeowner’s policies are designed to provide financial protection in the event of damage to your home, such as fire, lightning or windstorm. Your policy will also protect your personal property, such as furniture that is damaged as a result of a fire, or the theft of electronic equipment.
Prices can be different from one company to another. The Insurance Information Institute recommends getting at least three price quotes on home owner insurance. Price too low and prospects doubt you’re any good and you lose credibility. But if you’re new to the market, how do you know where to position yourself for maximum results and success?
Shopping for mobile home insurance is slightly different than shopping for insurance on a stationary home. The Best Home Insurance is the one that provides you with the most benefits policy-wise. Shopping for mobile home insurance is slightly different than shopping for insurance on a stationary home. Although the coverages are similar, there are a few differences.
Mobile home insurance is similar to homeowner’s insurance, but it’s written specifically to meet the needs of owners of mobile homes. Your policy covers your mobile home and its contents and offers personal liability protection. It is also available from the company and this is available with a range of benefits. For example, free continental travel cover is provided as part of the policy which means that a family can have peace of mind when travelling on the continent.
Mobile home insurance is often provided on an actual cash value basis, so significant depreciation can be a major concern for owners of mobile homes. The policy’s coverage extends to the mobile home’s equipment and accessories that were originally built into the structure.
Mobile home insurance is essential yet few mobile home owners actually take it out. If you think about it, you are leaving a home that you actually spend very little time in completely unguarded and vulnerable.

The Mortality Mortgage: Pricing Practices and Reform in the Life Insurance Industry $4.48 The life insurance industry is one of the last examples of unrestricted capitalism in this country. Despite some regulation by various government agencies, life insurance remains a largely uncontrolled financial giant. It is the life insurance plan, how it works, that shields this industry. "The Mortality Mortgage," the source of the Barnes Standard is an explanation of life insurance pricing, and a call for full financial disclosure through regulation of the industry. It is intended for financial consultants, tax attorneys, CPA’s, life insurance agents, and other groups who advise consumers on financial matters. Insurance buyers supply this industry with millions of dollars in premiums each year. Consumers deserve a truth in lending law and an appraisal process for this financial service. Life insurance is not a product, it is financing. Four factors denote financial quality: price or principal, rate, term and closing costs. Consumers understand these financial elements for homes and bonds, but they do not equate the fundamentals of financial quality with life insurance. The life insurance industry, through marketing and advertising, has taught the public to focus on premiums, death benefits, and cash values; financial elements are ignored. "The Mortality Mortgage" compares and contrasts three financial models: the home mortgage, the bond or debt security, and life insurance. Additionally, it provides the formulas necessary for appraisal of a life insurance plan. With an appraisal, a comparison of insurance policies is possible. Once pricing is understood, consumers will demand full financial disclosure through regulation of the life insurance industry. |

Handbook of Insurance $211.48 In the 1970′s, the research agenda in insurance was dominated by optimal insurance coverage, security design, and equilibrium under conditions of imperfect information. The 1980′s saw a growth of theoretical developments including non-expected utility, price volatility, retention capacity, the pricing and design of insurance contracts in the presence of multiple risks, and the liability insurance crisis. The empirical study of information problems, financial derivatives, and large losses due to catastrophic events dominated the research agenda in the 1990′s. The Handbook of Insurance provides a single reference source on insurance for professors, researchers, graduate students, regulators, consultants, and practitioners, that reviews the research developments in insurance and its related fields that have occurred over the last thirty years. The book starts with the history and foundations of insurance theory and moves on to review asymmetric information, risk management and insurance pricing, and the industrial organization of insurance markets. The book ends with life insurance, pensions, and economic security. Each chapter has been written by a leading authority in insurance, all contributions have been peer reviewed, and each chapter can be read independently of the others. |

Mobil Travel Guide New York, 2005 $3.98 The Mobil Travel Guide star ratings are a 45-year-old consumer advocacy concept originally developed following the introduction of the interstate highway system. The goal of the Guide is not to identify and rate every property in the country, but to recommend only the best in each category, ones that we would send our customers to. We look at the stars from a consumer’s point of view, rating lodgings and restaurants across North America from the perspective of the "average traveler."The Guides feature new enhanced descriptions for 2004. Listings include lodgings, restaurants, attractions, and events in established travel destinations, as well as cities and towns on the way to established travel destinations. Our new easy-to-use format makes the Guides even more indispensable to travelers. Each regional guide is organized alphabetically by state, with introductory information about the state followed by city listings in alphabetical order. For each city, the guide lists sites and attractions, lodgings, and then restaurants. One of the features that sets the Mobil Travel Guide apart from its competitors is its proprietary Mobil star rating system. Forty-five plus years of publishing experience and the oldest non-biased rating system in North America make the Mobil Travel Guide series a must-have for travelers wanting up-to-date ratings of hotels and restaurants. |

Government Support to Agricultural Insurance $19.99 Governments in developing countries have been increasingly involved in the support of commercial agricultural insurance programs in recent years. In their attempt to design and implement agricultural insurance, many governments in developing countries have sought technical assistance from the international community and particularly from the World Bank. World Bank is among the few international financial organizations having a fully dedicated insurance team with agricultural insurance experts, and the agricultural insurance team currently provides technical assistance in about 20 countries. One of the recurrent requests from the governments is about the international experience with agricultural insurance, not only in developed countries where in some cases agricultural insurance has been offered for more than a century, but also in middle- and low-income countries. They are particularly interested in the experience of public support to agricultural insurance, including technical, operational, financial and institutional aspects. The book aims to inform and update the public and private decision makers involved in the promotion of agricultural insurance about the recent developments in agricultural insurance, with a particular focus on middle- and low-income countries. It provides the decision maker with a framework for the development of agricultural insurance based on an analytical review of the rationale of public intervention in agricultural insurance and a detailed comparative analysis of agricultural insurance programs with and without public support. This analysis is based on a survey conducted by the World Bank’s agricultural insurance team in 2008 in 65 developed and developing countries. It offers policymakers a review of public support in agricultural insurance in light of international experience and makes recommendations for the development of sustainable, affordable and cost-effective agricultural insurance programs. |

Insurance Against Covariate Shocks $9.99 Uninsured risk had far-reaching consequences for rural growth as well as poverty reduction. A range of informal mechanisms to insure rural households against the impact of shocks, but they are a modest component of a risk layering strategy for well-off households and even less protective for low-income households. Formal insurance mechanisms have inherent market imperfections. State interventions to address these limitations have proven costly and generally are targeted poorly. Recent developments in microfinance as well as in insurance marketing have opened new possibilities for household risk reduction. Index insurance, such as weather indexing, addresses other inherent problems in insurance by using an indicator that is not affected by individual behaviour and may address monitoring costs and moral hazard. A number of innovations using index insurance are being tried currently in diverse settings ranging from India to Mongolia to Malawi. Marketing costs may limit the provision of such insurance to small farmers, but even in such cases microfinance institutes may serve as market intermediaries. Moreover, state and submational governments can use insurance to achieve countercyclical funding programs. In this vein, municipal governments in Mexico have used insurance to finance disaster contingency while the World Food Program has insured a portion of its emergency assistance to Ethiopia. Humanitarian organizations and NGOs may also seek insurance in this manner. |

Principles of Insurance $28.48 Purchase of this book includes free trial access to www.million-books.com where you can read more than a million books for free. This is an OCR edition with typos. Excerpt from book: CHAPTER III MORTALITY TABLES If the reader seeks to understand the principles upon which life insurance is based and practiced, he must thoroughly grasp the significance of the mortality table. The discussion of the theory of insurance given in the preceding chapter is therefore continued in this and the succeeding chapter, in which the practical application of the theory of probabilities is treated. A mortality table is a table which shows the number of persons remaining alive at each age out of a given number and also the number dying character during each year of age. It is "the in- strument by means of which are measured Tables, the probabilities of living and dying." The table does not show the actual individual experience of the group at each age, but an average with the deviations reduced. The number upon which the experience is based, usually 100,000, is called the radix of the table. A table may commence at any age, but usually begins at 10 with the upper limit at 100 years. The sources of the data from which such tables are constructed are usually either generalpopulation statistics or statistics of insured lives. Manifestly the early tables were of the first kind, and we have already described the use which was made of the incomplete and incorrect data of the London Bills of Mortality. The Breslau table, drawn up by Halley was a population table. The Northampton table, drawn up by Dr. Price in 1783 was also of this description. However, in neither case was there an enumeration of the general population. Both were based chiefly on the records of death. In two provinces of Northampton Dr. Price had a record of the baptisms as well as of the d… |

Risk Management and Insurance $67.81 For many years, introductory insurance textbooks presented insurance as a subject based in contracts. Slowly, the course has moved toward a consumer orientation, providing students with a broad, descriptive survey of the insurance field, covering topics such as legal aspects, life and health, and property and liability. Over the past 10 years, textbooks began to promote, and to a limited degree, incorporate a stronger business risk management component while maintaining a consumer orientation. Harrington/Niehaus’ Risk Management and Insurance 2e is written to take the next step offering the essential aspects of insurance contracts and the insurance industry while providing a substantially more conceptual analysis and attention to business risk management and public policy issues that exists in current texts. |
