How good is the Travel Insurance Plan offered by Orbitz?

I want to go ahead and book a ticket for a flight that’s several weeks off. The problem is I might need to change the date or even cancel it all together. How good is the Travel Insurance Plan offered by Orbitz? Will I be able to get the majority of my money back if I decide to change my flight or cancel it? Any small print to watch out for?

There are ways that you could get your money back, but orbitz and most other companies that offer this option, limit themselves to covered reasons, ie urgent medical reasons, travel company goes bust, etc.. Only by booking the policy and selecting full protection will you received full t&c’s.

I would add that simply deciding not to go, is probably not a reason that would be accepted, and changing flights would be outside the policy, and you would probably need to pay a fee to the airline (not Orbitz) to change flights.
